Investing in Intangible Assets
Does your company invest in their Intangible Assets? First let’s look at the definition of an asset…”In financial accounting, assets are economic resources. Anything tangible or intangible that is capable of being owned or controlled to produce value and that is held to have positive economic value is considered an asset”…..Wikipedia
The challenge with most small business, especially in the home building sector, i.e. manufactures, builders and dealers is that they tend to measure the value of an asset from only a tangible perspective. Why? It’s their control mechanism. They know their cost, they have control.
What about the Intangible Asset? The employees of these builder sectors, from first point of contact to the home sale are the lifeblood of the business. Unfortunately, it’s a matter of trust. Employers wonder if the employees are really working with the best interest of their employers in mind. Are they following up on leads, do they care? Employers don’t have complete control over the “Intangible Asset” ….that makes them dispensable.
How does the Intangible Asset add value to your business?

What is your Sales Strategy?
"In order to create a strategy, you've got to look at the competition, the marketplace, and yourself and find an opportunity to position yourself so that you are creating something different, something unique; something we call a USP - Unique Selling Proposition - that says to the market 'this a real opportunity".....Dan Levitan, Levitan & Associates
